OUI attorney Wayne Foote was born in 1950, in Melrose, Massachusetts. Mr. Foote then served in the United States Army for eight years as an electronic intelligence specialist and Russian linguist. Lawyer Foote held the rank of Staff Sergeant and had gotten an honorable discharge. Mr. Foote graduated Colby College, Waterville, Maine. Later on he graduated magna cum laude in 1983 with a degree in history. He was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society during that time.

The University of Maine School of Law awarded his Juris Doctor degree in 1986. He has received Certificates of Achievement where he completed the National College for DUI Defense, Inc.'s Summer Sessions in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005and 2006, Mastering Scientific Evidence in DUI/DWI Cases in 2002 and 2005, Florida International University’s Breath Analysis Forensic Workshop in 2004, and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ DWI training session in 2005. He is also certified by the USDOT as a Maintenance Technician and Operator for the Intoxilyzer 5000. Mr. Foote became the one and only OUI / DWI / DUI lawyer in Maine who is Board Certified in DUI Defense Law by the National College for DUI Defense, Inc. in 2007.

Maine OUI defense attorney, Wayne Foote is a Sustaining Member of the National College for DUI Defense, Inc. and the College’s State Delegate for the State of Maine. Mr. Foote is a general member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Foote is also a Charter Member, past Vice President and past Director of the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
