Pat Arata
Patrick
J. Arata, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has practiced
law for twenty five years. He is admitted to practice law
in the states of Indiana and California. He has also been
admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S.
Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, and the Federal District
Courts for the Northern District of Indiana, the Southern
District of Indiana, and the Eastern District of California.
His practice is concentrated in the area of criminal defense
with a focus on DUI/OWI, federal criminal defense, personal
injury and civil litigation.
Mr. Arata is a graduate
of McGeorge School of Law. Presently, he is the Chairman
of the Criminal Defense Attorneys section of the Allen County
Bar Association, a Sustaining member of the National
College for DUI Defense, and a Life member of the National
Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a Master
with and former President of the American Inns of Court,
Benjamin Harrison Chapter.
Mr. Arata is a also a
member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, The Association
of Trial Lawyers, the Indiana Association of Criminal Defense
Lawyers and the Association of Federal Attorneys.
Mr. Arata is certified
as an Instructor in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing,
certified in the operation of the Intoxilizer 5000,
and has completed training using the BAC DataMaster as well
as blood and urine testing.
Mr. Arata has routinely
volunteered his services as an instructor and has spoken at
legal seminars in various venues on subjects including Trial
Practice, Jury Trial Rules, DUI/OWI Defense, Child Molestation
Allegations, and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
Mr Arata has also earned
the distinguished "AV" Martindale-Hubbell
rating for the practice of law with the highest level of ethics
and skill.
