Robert W. Gevers, II
Robert
W. Gevers, II, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has practiced
law for twenty years. He is admitted to practice law in the
state of Indiana and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for
the 7th Circuit, and the Federal District Courts for the Northern
District of Indiana and the Western District of Michigan.
His practice is concentrated in the area of criminal defense
with a focus on DUI/OWI defense, sexual and physical assault
defense, federal criminal defense, and personal injury and
civil litigation.
Mr. Gevers is a cum laude graduate of
Indiana School of Law. Presently, he is a member of the Allen
County Bar Association, Criminal Defense Attorneys section,
the National College for DUI Defense, and the National Association
of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is an associate member of
the International Association of Forensic Nurses and serves
on the Board of Directors for the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault
Treatment Center and the Kachmann Behavioral Foundation.
Mr. Gevers is qualified in Standardized Field
Sobriety Testing, Basic Datamaster and Evidential Breath Alcohol
Testing, and Forensic Interviewing. He has also been certified
as a Civil and Family Law Mediator.
Mr. Gevers has served as faculty for Finding
Words, Indiana, the National Advocacy Center, and the U.S.
Department of Transportation. He routinely provides instruction
in criminal prosecution and defense, trial tactics, and motivation.
Mr. Gevers has practiced law as a Criminal Defense
Attorney, served two terms as the Elected Prosecuting Attorney,
served as a Senior Special Prosecuting Attorney, and an Assistant
United States Attorney.
Mr. Gevers has also earned the distinguished
"AV" Martindale-Hubbell rating for the practice
of law with the highest level of ethics and skill.
